A ducting system for whole house ventilation systems.
Zehnder Comfosystems have reinvented the concept of ducting with their ComfoFresh air distribution network and used their expertise to improve airflow, efficiency, air quality and hygiene.
In order to maximise the benefits of Zehnder ComfoAir heat recovery ventilation system the units should be used with Zehnder ComfoFresh ventilation components. Air is drawn into the Zehnder ComfoFresh ducting network in one of three ways:
- Fresh air is drawn in from outside via a wall vent
- Fresh air is drawn in from outside via an air intake tower and linked to the home using a ground loop. The air is pre-heated or pre-cooled by the temperature of the earth (ComfoFond)
- A ground loop containing a brine solution is installed below the ground’s surface. The brine in the ground loop is pre-heated or pre-cooled by the temperature of the earth (ComfoFond-L option)
Poor ventilation and air quality can lead to an increased incidence of asthma and allergic symptoms due to sensitivity to allergens such as dust mites, VOCs, pollen and mould. By improving ventilation the concentration of these allergens can be reduced.
The Zehnder ComfoFresh air distribution network is designed to deliver a measured amount of air at low velocity. This ensures that fresh, clean air does not create drafts around the home. Due to the unique design of the components, noise related to air turbulence can be reduced thus limiting the intrusion of noise into the home environment.
Efficiency Pressure losses are reduced owing to the smooth inner surface of the ducting. Improving the efficiency of your ducting means that your central system may not need to work as hard to achieve the desired airflow, both prolonging its life and helping to improve the energy efficiency of your system.
Components are an important part of the whole ventilation process and should be carefully considered at the planning & selection stage. Please browse the items below and call us at +353(0)46.902.9444 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for further assistance.
